Interview with Simran Mahbubani
I am a snow shaker,
a shadow maker.
I rage and cage the hills
and bar the ether as you peer
through me,
shattering the heavens into colored panes.
I am a gold spinner,
a novel paper.
I bend and mend the mind
and cut your fingers as you run them
down my edges,
shaping your barbaric thoughts into scholars’.
I am a breath taker,
a life giver.
I curl and hurl the wind
and play the breeze as it throws itself
through my fingers,
shaping its bristling roars into sonorous hymns.
I am a fort holder,
an imagination molder.
I hide and guide you
and guard your clandestine meetings met
in my arms,
turning your clouded dreams into shining visions.
